Cass County Inmate Roster
The Cass County Sheriff's Office manages the jail and publishes a public in-custody list. Sheriff Jeff Weber's county page lists the Sheriff's Office at 2501 W. Mechanic St., Harrisonville, Missouri 64701, with phone 816-380-8320 and fax 816-380-8558. The sheriff site also lists 2501 West Mechanic Street, Suite 100, Harrisonville, MO 64701, phone 816-380-5200 and 816-380-8334. Sheriff duties include jail management, court service, crime investigation, civil process, patrol, support and communications, DARE/SRO work, and rural law enforcement.
The public roster is useful for current custody, but it is limited. It does not show every profile detail that some jail systems provide. The inspected Cass County table does not show mugshots, booking numbers, date of birth, height, weight, race, sex, housing pod, medical flags, attorney, magistrate, or release date. Multiple rows may appear for one person because the roster is charge-line based, and each row can list a different charge, bond, court date, arrest date, or jurisdiction.
The county sheriff source identifies the office responsible for jail records. See the Cass County Sheriff page for the official county listing.

That office context matters because the jail roster is a sheriff custody record, while filed charges and final case outcomes are court records.
The Justice Center location also explains why jail, court, prosecutor, juvenile, and public administrator contacts can appear close together in Cass County research. They are not the same records custodian. The Sheriff's Office controls custody and jail records. The Circuit Clerk controls Circuit Court case records. The Prosecuting Attorney files state criminal charges. A roster row can therefore be the starting point, but the next phone call or search depends on whether the user needs release status, a court date, a charging document, or a certified judgment.
Use Cass County Inmate Search
The Cass County in-custody list is a public table rather than a traditional search form. It is not a portal where a user enters a last name and opens a profile page. Instead, scan the table rows by name and compare charge, bond, court date, arrest date, and jurisdiction. Confirm the entry with the Sheriff's Office when timing, release, bond, or safety notice matters.
- Open the Cass County Sheriff's in-custody list.
- Scan the name columns for the person, watching for spelling, middle name, NMI, or NA entries.
- Read every row for that person because several charge lines or holds may be listed separately.
- Compare bond amount, bond type, court date, arrest date, and jurisdiction before drawing a conclusion.
- Use VINE or VINELink for custody notifications, not the roster alone.
- Contact the Sheriff's Office or file a records request for arrest, booking, or incident details not shown in the table.
The roster itself is an assigned source image for this page. The official Cass County inmate roster shows the table-style custody list and update warning.

Because the list is table-based, the best search method is careful row review rather than relying on a profile click or name field.
Cass County Jail Roster Fields
The Cass County roster does not present user-entered search fields. Its public fields are table columns. The field inventory below reflects the official in-custody list described in the research. A row may list one charge or hold, so a person with several holds can appear across multiple lines. Bond text can also vary by jurisdiction and case status.
| Field label | Type | Required | Options or notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Last_Name | Table column | n/a | Uppercase surname. |
| First_Name | Table column | n/a | Uppercase first name. |
| Middle_Name | Table column | n/a | Full middle name, NMI, NA, or similar text. |
| Age | Table column | n/a | Numeric age. |
| Charge | Table column | n/a | FTA, probation violation, DWI, writ, fugitive, municipal hold, and other charge text can appear. |
| Bond_Amount | Table column | n/a | Numeric amount, often zero for none, sentenced, or no-bond status. |
| Bond_Type | Table column | n/a | Cash only, none allowed, sentenced, cash or surety, 10 percent cash, non-extraditable, or on probation. |
| Court_Date | Table column | n/a | YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS when posted; blank when none appears. |
| Arrest_Date | Table column | n/a | YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. |
| Jurisdiction | Table column | n/a | Cass County, city departments, DOC, DMH, ICE, other counties, or other states. |
Cass County Inmate Record Fields
A Cass County inmate record in the public table is charge-line based. It is best read as a current custody snapshot. If the same person has a Cass County criminal case, municipal hold, DOC matter, and out-of-county hold, the roster can show more than one row. For court outcomes, pleas, dispositions, and sentences, use Case.net and the Circuit Clerk.
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Last, first, and middle name as listed by the roster. |
| Age | Age listed on the custody table. |
| Charge | Custody charge or hold text, not always the final court charge. |
| Bond amount | Dollar amount shown for release, if any. |
| Bond type | Release condition such as cash only, none allowed, cash or surety, sentenced, or on probation. |
| Court date | Next posted date and time, when the roster lists one. |
| Arrest date | Date and time tied to the custody row. |
| Jurisdiction | The agency or court context for the row, including Cass County or another jurisdiction. |
Cass County Roster Update Warning
The sheriff roster warns that, during transition to new jail management software, the list is not updating in real time. It also states the list is informational only and that the Sheriff's Office cannot guarantee accuracy. This is a high-value caution for families, attorneys, victims, and anyone checking bond or release status. A name missing from the list does not always prove release, and a name still present does not always prove current custody.
Important: Confirm urgent custody, release, bond, or court-date information with the Sheriff's Office or court before acting.
Victims seeking release notification should use VINE or VINELink rather than checking the roster manually. VINE is designed for custody notification. The local roster is a public reference table. Those are different functions, and the roster warning makes that distinction important in Cass County.
The warning also affects bond decisions. A bond amount or bond type on a roster row may lag behind a court order, a municipal hold, a warrant recall, or a release event. Cass County warrant examples in the research show cash-only, no-bond, ROR after 48 hours, surety, and 10 percent cash options in official sheriff materials. Because those terms can change through court action, the roster should be checked against the court docket and the Sheriff's Office before money is paid or travel plans are made.
Cass County Jail Contacts
Cass County jail operations are part of the Sheriff's Office at the Justice Center campus. The research did not identify multiple separate county jail facilities or a posted capacity figure in the official sources reviewed, so the contact card should be read as the local sheriff and jail contact path rather than a complete facility-capacity list.

Cass County Jail vs DOC
The Cass County inmate roster covers local jail custody. It does not replace the Missouri Department of Corrections offender search. The DOC search covers offenders supervised by the Missouri Department of Corrections, such as people in state prison or state supervision. Federal inmates use federal systems after federal custody or conviction. County pretrial custody remains a sheriff jail matter until the person is transferred, released, sentenced, or otherwise moved.
Use VINE or VINELink for victim custody notifications. Use the sheriff roster for public jail custody reference. Use Case.net for filed court cases and charge outcomes. Use DOC offender search for state correctional custody or supervision. Each source answers a different question, and mixing them can lead to wrong conclusions about custody status.
Municipal and outside-agency holds need the same care. The roster can list a city police department, another county, DOC, DMH, ICE, or another state as the jurisdiction. That does not mean Cass County Circuit Court controls every part of the custody event. A city traffic failure-to-appear may require municipal court contact. A DOC hold may require state correctional review. An ICE or out-of-state entry may involve an agency outside Missouri court records. The roster identifies the hold context; it does not always provide the final case file.
The DOC source is assigned to this page. The Missouri Department of Corrections offender search is for state-supervised offenders, not Cass County pretrial jail roster checks.

That distinction prevents a county jail search from being mistaken for a statewide prison or parole search.
Request Cass County Booking Records
Arrest reports, incident reports, booking-related documents, local records checks, fingerprints, and letters of incarceration are handled through the sheriff records process when they are not available in the public roster. Major Kevin Tieman is the sheriff Custodian of Records. Written requests may be mailed to the Sheriff's Office address or emailed to diane.smock@cassmosheriff.org. Under the sheriff page and Missouri Sunshine Law procedure, the office acts on written requests no later than the end of the third business day after receipt.
Sheriff fees include letter of incarceration $5, incident report $5, investigative report $5, accident report $5, arrest report $5, each additional page $0.10, audio or video reproduction $18, fingerprint $10, local records check $5, civil process $30 plus mileage, sex offender list $10, and notary $5. The sheriff fee schedule states fees must be received before records production, and a likely reproduction deposit may be required if exact fees cannot be determined.
The assigned sheriff fee source is the Cass County Sheriff's records fee schedule.

Those fees are relevant when a roster entry is not enough and a written arrest or booking record is needed.
Cass County Inmate Visitation
Cass County Jail remote visitation is provided by InmateCanteen. Visitors register or log in at inmatecanteen.com. Visits can be made from a smart phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer with camera capabilities, but the jail page says visits work only on the full website, not the mobile app. A valid email address is required. Remote visits can be made once every two hours. Visits may be terminated, blocked, or denied for inappropriate behavior, discipline, safety, security, order, or law.

The schedule and remote-visit rules are part of custody access, but they do not verify court charge status.
Cass County Mail and Phone Rules
Cass County encourages constructive correspondence unless limits are needed for safety, security, order, or law. Incoming U.S. Postal Service letters are allowed if they comply with law, postal rules, and jail security. Mail must include a complete return address with first and last name, full street address, city, state, and ZIP. Inmates may receive only letters and photos. Mail for inmates transferred to a state institution is returned to sender, while mail for an inmate housed at another facility is forwarded or hand delivered within 48 hours.
Incoming mail is opened and inspected for contraband, scanned, and delivered electronically. Inmate-to-inmate correspondence is prohibited and returned. Pornographic material or items that create sexual-harassment issues are destroyed. Mail with biohazard indications, perfume, lipstick, or other hazardous markings is not accepted. Phone calls are handled through TurnKey Corrections. The jail page directs users to TurnKey at 715-690-2965 or the InmateCanteen website to establish an account. Commissary links route to team3.inmatecanteen.com, but official phone, video, or commissary pricing was not posted in the reviewed Cass County sources.
Note: No official Cass County, Missouri sheriff mobile app with inmate or warrant tools was confirmed in the research.
